As the economic development, communications, and community engagement team for the Town of Knightdale, our mission is to promote and enhance the economic vitality, quality of life, and sense of community within our town.
We serve as the central point for all communications and marketing activities in Knightdale, working to coordinate the Knightdale brand, keep the community connected, and promote the high quality of life offered to all residents.
Our team is responsible for building relationships with local businesses, attracting new businesses to Knightdale, and supporting existing businesses through various programs and services. We also work to keep our residents informed about town news, events, and initiatives through various communication channels.
We are dedicated to fostering a strong sense of community in Knightdale by engaging residents and promoting opportunities for involvement in town activities and decision-making processes.
We aim to ensure that Knightdale continues to be a great place to live, work, and play and to promote our town as a desirable location for new businesses and residents. We are committed to working collaboratively with all community members to achieve these goals.

Community Engagement in Knightdale is where connection comes to life! Whether we’re sparking conversations, hosting events, or bringing neighbors together, our goal is simple: build a town where everyone feels seen, heard, and excited to participate. We’re here to amplify voices, celebrate community spirit, and make Knightdale an even better place to call home.
The Community Relations Department helps with the Town's busy special events schedule. From the African American Festival to the Christmas Parade, if the community is there, we are there to interact, engage, and capture to story of the community.
Community Engagement doesn't just stop at in person events either. We are constantly expanding the platforms we use to engage the community like our Engage Knightdale website. This site allows residents to provide feedback on surveys and questions, as well as stay informed on projects the Town is working on.
Newsletters & Notifications
In addition to social media, the Town of Knightdale also uses various newsletters and notification systems to communicate more specific information.



For urgent notifications and emergencies, the Town of Knightdale utilizes GovDelivery to send text and email notifications to ensure the safety of our residents and visitors.

Businesses are another segment of the Knightdale community we are responsible for supporting and engaging. That is why we kicked off the Knightdale Commerce Alliance in 2025. The KCA is a branch of the Community Relations department dedicated to helping businesses in Knightdale connect, learn, and grow. From ribbon cutting to workshops, we are always busy with business.
