Community Relations Director

Rachel Morris serves as the Director of Community Relations for the Town of Knightdale, where she leads the Town’s efforts in economic development, community engagement, and strategic communications.

With over 25 years of experience spanning the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, Morris brings expertise in community outreach, branding, strategic leadership, and partnership development. Her career includes service as Executive Director of a global nonprofit organization, where she oversaw international operations, program and community development, and legal affairs across regions including the United States, Canada, Bermuda, the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Germany, and Korea.

Morris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Saint Augustine’s University and a Master of Business Administration from Strayer University. She is also a graduate of the Municipal Administration Program at the University of North Carolina School of Government and completed the Leadership U for Humanity program through the Korn Ferry Foundation.

Morris is notably the first Black individual and person of color to serve in a director-level role in the history of the Town of Knightdale.
