The LiveLikeRyan Foundation plans to award competitive scholarships to kids and teens who desire to become involved in wholesome, life-changing opportunities, such as youth camps or mission trips, where the message of Christ is spread during volunteer humanitarian relief work.
Ryan found that these activities not only helped others but provided character-building experiences for him that helped mold him into someone who served
Officer Ryan Andrew Hayworth was killed in the line of duty on October 17, 2021. At just 23-years-old, Ryan had already made a positive impact on so many lives. His sense of duty, faith, and service to others has been recounted time and time again by those who knew him best. Though his remarkable life was cut short, Ryan leaves behind an inspiring and enduring legacy of service. It is his legacy we celebrate and not his sacrifice.
The Live Like Ryan (LLR) Memorial 5K is one of many ways the Town of Knightdale has chosen to recognize Ryan’s service to his community, his country, and his fellow man. The annual event is held on the weekend around the anniversary of Ryan’s death. Our LLR Memorial 5k is an opportunity for participants to symbolically follow in Ryan’s footsteps and to ensure that his memory and contributions are never forgotten. In doing so, we hope to remind the world around us to embody the best of the human spirit – to Live Like Ryan.
