Community Appearance Awards

About the Program

The Knightdale Community Appearance Awards is an annual program that allows the Town of Knightdale to recognize businesses, property owners, and organizations that have gone above and beyond to beautify Knightdale by enhancing the Town's character, environment, and appearance.

Since the program's start in 2013, the Town of Knightdale has presented over 25 Appearance Awards to business and building owners, developers, community groups, civic clubs, churches, and residents.

Award Categories:

  • New non-residential building or site
  • Renovated building (commercial or residential)
  • A person or organization

Award Eligibility:

  • Enhancements and beautification efforts must have been made or completed within the current calendar year. Projects still under construction are not eligible
  • Efforts and enhancements should be readily visible to the general public (i.e. renovation or refresh of a building's exterior rather than interior work)
  • Residential yards are not eligible
