The Town hosts rotating exhibitions that showcase local, regional, and national artists while encouraging creative engagement throughout the community.
Sherry is a multifaceted artist and writer focused on nature and animals. Her photography, drawings, and paintings have been displayed in numerous exhibitions within North Carolina and as far away as California in the Los Angeles Center for Digital Arts.
Sherry's photographs have appeared in newspapers in North Carolina and Virginia, as well as in Cat Fancy magazine. Sherry also had her poetry and photography published in the "Inedible" magazine in 2025.
Sherry's writing and photography were recently featured in the May/June 2026 issue of the "Triangle Gardener," which included an article on "Cell Phone Photography in the Garden." Her previous article, along with photography, was also in the "Triangle Gardener" March/April 2025 issue, "Small Space Pollinator Gardening."
An interesting aspect of Sherry's photography, which makes her work a bit different, is the minimal use of any type of enhancement techniques. Sherry also uses minimal equipment to show that meaningful photography can be obtained without expensive equipment and software. Sherry hopes that her photography will bring you a quick nature break during the busyness of the day and be a gentle reminder of the animals and natural world that is easy to take for granted. Her goal is for you to be present in the moment when the images were taken and to share in the beauty.
Some of Sherry's photography at the Knightdale Town Hall is for sale. Please text or call 704-517-6818 for more information.
