Support Services

The Support Services Division is comprised of multiple specialized units that provide critical operational, administrative, and logistical support to the department’s patrol and field operations. This division plays a key role in enhancing overall service delivery by coordinating functions that require focused expertise, planning, and collaboration both within the department and with external partners.

Core responsibilities of the Support Services Division include criminal and follow-up investigations, specialized traffic enforcement initiatives, and the planning and coordination of special events to ensure public safety during large gatherings and community activities. The division also oversees local school security operations, working closely with school administrators, staff, students, and parents to maintain safe learning environments and to support proactive safety planning.

Through its specialized units, the Support Services Division supports data-driven policing, problem-solving initiatives, and strategic enforcement efforts aimed at reducing crime, improving traffic safety, and addressing quality-of-life concerns. Members of the division frequently collaborate with patrol personnel, command staff, and community stakeholders to ensure coordinated responses to complex or non-routine incidents.

By providing these specialized services and operational support, the Support Services Division enhances the department’s ability to respond effectively to community needs while promoting professionalism, accountability, and operational efficiency across the organization.
