The Town Council approved a Zoning Map Amendment and Master Plan to allow 900 single-family, townhome, and multi-family units along Buffaloe, Old Crews, and Lucas Roads. The plan includes some age-restricted lots and several acres of commercial space along Buffaloe Road. The request included the rezoning of approximately 268 acres from Rural Transition (RT) to Neighborhood Mixed Use (NMX) with a Planned Unit Development (PUD).
Development was previously known as Buffaloe Road Assemblage.

Annexation Public Hearing Rescheduled
The September 16, 2026 Knightdale Town Council meeting has been canceled due to a lack of quorum.
The public hearing for the Aria Village Annexation will now be held on October 21, 2026.
Brio West
The Knightdale Town Council will hold a public hearing at their meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Knightdale Council Chambers at 950 Steeple Square Court to receive public comment on the Aria Village Voluntary Annexation Petition (AN-4-26).
McAdams Co has applied for a voluntary noncontiguous annexation of approximately 1.12 acres located on the south side of Buffaloe Road (Wake County PIN 1755496387). Trigate-Suncrest Brio West, LLC is the property owner.
