Oscar "O.W." Hedrick was a Knightdale resident who worked for years as the Knightdale Town Clerk and as a member of the Wake County Planning Board (1973-1983). He operated Hedrick Insurance Agency in Wendell and East Wake Properties, Inc., a real estate brokerage and appraisal firm. O.W. attended Wake Forest University and NC State University. He was a great citizen, family man and friend to many in Wake County.
