- Fields without lights may be rented from 8:00 a.m. to dusk. Fields with lights may be rented from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Field rentals are limited to a 2-hour minimum and 6-hour maximum.
- Tournaments and showcases must complete a Special Event Request Form.
- Reservations may be made no more than 3 months in advance and no less than 7 days in advance.
- Field marking, prepping, and painting requires prior approval.
- Soccer goals are not included in the rental.
- The Town of Knightdale may cancel field rentals due to field conditions. Cancellation notices will be issued as far in advance as possible to the applicant/user group Representative. In the event of cancellation by the Parks and Recreation Department, all fees paid for the rental will be refunded in full.
The following activities/items are prohibited for all rentals:
- The closing of public rights-of-way (unless required and supervised by the Knightdale Police Department)
- The erection of temporary fencing
- Event admission or registration fees
- Vendor participation fees
- Firearms (unless specifically permitted by State law)
- Overnight storage
- Fireworks or explosives
- Open flames
- Smoke/fog generating equipment or apparatus
- Glitter, confetti, or rice
- Silly string
- Water balloons
- Alcohol
- Personal cooking devices such as grills, smokers, and other gas or electric cooking devices
- Food trucks
- Tobacco
- Illegal substances
- Gambling
- Vulgar language
- Inflatables or bounce houses
- Amplified music
- Tents or canopies
- Political group events or rentals
Park Rules
- Pets must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet except in a designated dog park. Leash must be always held by the owner or competent individual. The tethering of pets to objects is not permitted.
- Pets are not permitted in any area designated for athletic use. This includes but is not limited to tennis or pickleball courts, and baseball, softball, or soccer fields.
- Pets that show signs of aggression should be removed from the property immediately.
- Clean up after your pet.
- Park only in designated areas. No parking on the roadside or grass.
- Motorized vehicles must remain on the road or in the parking lot. The use of motorized vehicles on grassy areas, sidewalks, or trails is prohibited.
- Please adhere to all rental postings.
- Geocaching is allowed, but sites must be approved by the Knightdale Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Programs Department.
- Fishing is catch and release only.
- The following are prohibited:
- Smoking
- Personal Grills
- Open fires
- Alcoholic beverages (unless a Town-Approved Event)
- Firearms (unless specifically permitted by State law)
- Hunting
- Overnight camping (permit required)
- Swimming or wading
- Boating
- Feeding of wildlife
- Collection, removal, or release of any animal, plant, or mineral material
- Amplified sound, including but not limited to music and voice amplification (unless approved by the Town)
- Fireworks (unless a Town-sponsored Event)
- Tents / Canopy (unless a Town-approved Event)
- Generators (unless approved by the Town)
- Solicitation or selling of goods or services (unless approved by the Town)
- Launching or recovering drones from Town parks or outdoor facilities (unless approved by the Town)
- Conducting a program, class, or paid instruction (unless approved by the Town)
- Inflatables, including but not limited to bounce houses, ball pits, and slides
