Need a way to cool off this summer? Join us for some fun in the sun this summer at the Splash Pad. The splash pad utilizes a recirculated water pump, which filters and treats water, much like a pool. The Splash Pad is free to enter for residents and non-residents.
Season & Hours
The Splash Pad opens yearly from the second Saturday in May to the second Sunday in September.
During the open season, the Splash Pad is open daily from 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Heavy Usage
Heavy usage will require the system to rest and reset chemical levels to ensure safe water quality. There may be periods during heavy use where PH levels drop below the recommended average. If this occurs, the system will shut down until it can correct itself. This process may take up to 1 hour!
Splash Pad Rules
- No lifeguards on duty.
- Max capacity of 100 people-if capacity is reached, please wait your turn.
- No running.
- Children under 13 yrs. old should have adult supervision at all times.
- At the first sign of thunder or lightning, vacate the area and seek shelter.
- No pets allowed in the splash pad area.
- Do not climb on the equipment.
- Don't drink the splash pad water.
- No glass objects.
- Swim diapers are required for all diaper-wearing patrons.
- No bikes, skateboards, or skates allowed.
- This site may close without notice due to maintenance or operational needs.
- If there is an emergency call 911.
- Police assistance for non-emergencies 919-217-2261.
- No motorized or non-motorized vehicles.
Park Rules
- Pets must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet except in a designated dog park. Leash must be always held by the owner or competent individual. The tethering of pets to objects is not permitted.
- Pets are not permitted in any area designated for athletic use. This includes but is not limited to tennis or pickleball courts, and baseball, softball, or soccer fields.
- Pets that show signs of aggression should be removed from the property immediately.
- Clean up after your pet.
- Park only in designated areas. No parking on the roadside or grass.
- Motorized vehicles must remain on the road or in the parking lot. The use of motorized vehicles on grassy areas, sidewalks, or trails is prohibited.
- Please adhere to all rental postings.
- Geocaching is allowed, but sites must be approved by the Knightdale Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Programs Department.
- Fishing is catch and release only.
- The following are prohibited:
- Smoking
- Personal Grills
- Open fires
- Alcoholic beverages (unless a Town-Approved Event)
- Firearms (unless specifically permitted by State law)
- Hunting
- Overnight camping (permit required)
- Swimming or wading
- Boating
- Feeding of wildlife
- Collection, removal, or release of any animal, plant, or mineral material
- Amplified sound, including but not limited to music and voice amplification (unless approved by the Town)
- Fireworks (unless a Town-sponsored Event)
- Tents / Canopy (unless a Town-approved Event)
- Generators (unless approved by the Town)
- Solicitation or selling of goods or services (unless approved by the Town)
- Launching or recovering drones from Town parks or outdoor facilities (unless approved by the Town)
- Conducting a program, class, or paid instruction (unless approved by the Town)
- Inflatables, including but not limited to bounce houses, ball pits, and slides
