Director of Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Programs

As the Director of Parks, Recreation, and Cultural  Programs, J.P. Lefever oversees all event, recreation, and cultural programs for the Town, as well as the Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Programs staff.  He assists in the identification and realization of long-term Town projects and initiatives.

Mr. Lefever has over a decade of Parks and Recreation experience with the Town of Knightdale. He began as an Athletic Supervisor for the Town of Knightdale in 2014 and was promoted to the Assistant Parks & Recreation Director in 2021.

Mr. Lefever received a Bachelor Degree in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder and his Master's Degree in Parks, Recreation, Tourism, and Sports Management from North Carolina State University.
