KNIGHTDALE, NC – Local leaders, town staff, and residents gathered at Harper Park, 207 Main Street in Knightdale as Knightdale Mayor James Roberson and Police Chief Lawrence Capps announced the opening of the new Knightdale Police Substation at Harper Park. The announcement took place 9:00 AM, Thursday April 5th.
The construction of the Knightdale Police Substation was slated to begin in Spring of 2018, but Knightdale Public Works was able to complete the project and have it ready for occupancy early. The Substation will provide space for the Knightdale Police Department as they grow along with Knightdale’s public safety needs, and will be centrally located in Old Town Knightdale, allowing Police to have a presence in Harper Park and surrounding areas.
The property is also home to the Knightdale Chamber of Commerce. Harper Park is open from dawn until dusk unless pre-planned events warrant later hours.
