KNIGHTDALE, NC – The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) awarded the Town of Knightdale’s Finance Department its Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2025. The Department has now received this award for 34 consecutive years.
The report was judged by an impartial panel to meet the program's high standards. These include demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report. It is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. Receiving this award represents a significant achievement for Knightdale and the Finance Department.
