Raleigh-Durham Airport brought the Kaess family to Knightdale. They owned one of the first homes in Planters Walk on Laurens Way. Harry was a member of Knightdale Baptist Church. Harry's wife passed in 1993, and he sold their home shortly after and moved into a retirement home.
