Knightdale Parks Recreation and Cultural Programs offers youth basketball in the winter and summer months. The KPRD basketball program is driven to provide a comprehensive learning environment for all basketball skill levels.
KPRD Basketball offers programming for athletes from 5-16 years old.
2024 5-16 BOYS & U8, U10, U12 GIRLS
SUMMER BASKETBALL:
Registration: APRIL 1ST 2024 - APRIL 30TH 2024 OR until league rosters are filled to capacity.
Player age as of May 1st 2024
Fees: Ages 5-16 Co-ed; Knightdale Resident $45, Non-Resident $65
Season: Mid May - Early August
Practices & Games are played 1-2 times per week @ Knightdale Recreation Center.
Skills Evaluations for ages 7-8, 9-10, 11-13 & 14-16 will take place the week of May 2nd.
The teams in the 5-6 age group will be automatically assigned by KPRD staff.
Practices begin the 2nd week of May.
Games begin the 3rd week of June.
Season is concluded by the 3rd week of August.
Days of Practices/Games:
5-8 year old groups: MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, SATURDAY
9-15 year old groups: TUESDAY, THURSDAY, SATURDAY
Start times vary by age:
5-8 year old: Weekdays 6:15pm / Weekends 9:30am - 12:30pm
9-12 year old: 6:15pm or 7:15pm
13-15 year old: 7:15pm or 8:15pm

Registration: SEPTEMBER 15th - OCTOBER 15TH OR until league rosters are filled to capacity.
Player age as of January 1st 2025
Fee ages 9-15 Boys and Girls League Fee: Knightdale Resident $45, Non-Resident $65
Season: NOVEMBER - FEBRUARY
Practices & Games are played 1-2 times per week @ Knightdale Recreation Center
Monday - Thursday nights & Saturday afternoon games.
Days of Practices/Games:
9-10 Boys: MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, SATURDAY
11-12 Boys: TUESDAY, THURSDAY, SATURDAY
13-15 Boys: TUESDAY, THURSDAY, SATURDAY
U10 & U12 Girls: Will play in East Wake Basketball League vs surrounding areas (Wendell, Zebulon, Clayton, Rolesville etc)
Home Games & Practices: MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, SATURDAY
Away Games: Times and days will vary
Start times vary by age:
9-12 year old: Weekdays 6:15pm or 7:15pm // Saturday Mornings 11:00am-1:00pm
13-15 year old: Weekdays 7:15pm or 8:15pm // Saturday Afternoons 1:00pm-4:00pm
