The Knightdale Police Department Ride Along Program allows citizens the opportunity to see an officer's experiences in a typical day on the job. Participation in the Ride Along Program is limited to residents of Knightdale, employees working for businesses within the Knightdale area, applicants, and on occasion those who apply for consideration with a special purpose, i.e., students, community leaders and visiting Law Enforcement employees. Interested persons, 18 and older, should submit a Ride Along Application and consent to a limited background investigation. You are welcome to ride during the day or at night. Stay for a few hours or the whole shift.
A waiver of liability is required for each ride.
