Knightdale Hires New Assistant Town Manager
KNIGHTDALE, NC – The Town of Knightdale announced the hiring of Chad Sary as Assistant Town Manager. Mr. Sary will oversee the Engineering, Public Works, and Development Services functions for the Town. He will also assist in the identification and realization of long-term projects and initiatives.
Mr. Sary has over 20 years of experience in various roles serving local governments in North Carolina. Since early 2016, he has served as a Project Manager for Stewart, Inc. consulting municipalities and counties from across the state regarding comprehensive plans, facilities & infrastructure studies, greenway/open space plans, economic development, code/ordinance writing, grant administration and other general government functions.
Prior to his employment with Stewart, he served as Assistant Planning Director for the Town of Wake Forest for over a decade. He also has experience as the Director of Planning & Inspections for the Town of Edenton and Chowan County.
Chad received a Bachelor of Science in Applied Geography/Urban and Regional Planning from East Carolina University. He also completed the Graduate Certificate Program in Facilities Planning & Management from the Ohio State University School of Architecture.
Town Manager Bill Summers stated, “Chad has significant experience in high-growth jurisdictions and Wake County. His skill-set will benefit Knightdale greatly as our town manages the challenges of growth over the next decade.”
