Trash, Recycling, and Bulk Items Pickup
Please call Town Hall at 919-217-2212 for the following:
- Set up a new solid waste collection service
- Report a damaged roll-out trash or recycling cart
- Report a missed trash or recycling pick-up
Knightdale is served by the Garner Branch Waste Industries facility.
All household garbage should be bagged, and the bags placed within the rolling Waste Industries trash cart to ensure proper service. Trash is collected every Tuesday morning, so please place your collection containers at the curb Monday night to ensure pick-up.
Roll-out containers must be removed from the curb the night after trash/recycling is collected (usually on Tuesdays). They may be placed at the curb no earlier than noon the day before. Violators may be fined $20 for each incident.
Construction Demolition or debris is not accepted.
Please don't leave bags on top of or around your cart. Also, please keep the containers at least three feet away from utilities, storm drains, mailboxes, etc. especially during or after severe weather.
If your trash or recycling has not been picked up on the correct day, please contact us at 919-217-2212. To request a recycling bin, call Waste Industries at 919-662-7100 or sign up online. Thanks!
