INNOVATIVE EAST WAKE TELEVISION PROGRAM RECEIVES DONATION FROM PSNC ENERGY

KNIGHTDALE, NC – February 22, 2007 — East Wake Television Channel 22 (EWTV) received a $1,000 donation for its’ innovative educational television program Make the Grade produced in partnership with Wake County Public Schools from PSNC Energy.  “Serving our community is important to us,” said Linda Harris, PSNC Energy external relations manager.  “We are proud to support an innovative program like Make the Grade that will provide the background needed for our State’s future leaders” Harris stated.

Make the Grade features teachers solving algebra and geometry problems called in or emailed by students.  Viewers watch the problem being worked out on an electronic screen with additional strategies offered by the instructor as the solution is reached.
